Wheel2Wheel: Bringing it home

With 17,000 plus kilometers behind him, 90 odd days in the saddle and many lives touched my brother Morgan will arrive in his country of birth sometime early in June 2011 no doubt a changed man.

As an older brother it is your responsibility to look after your younger brother.  But with a younger brother like Morgan who has taken on the world and succeeded, the opportunity to exercise that responsibility doesn’t come along to often, until now.

The Australian leg of the Wheel2Wheel adventure promises to be some of the toughest riding encountered through some of the most remote environments on the planet.  In other words it is a leg that an older brother with adventure in his heart could not miss.

Bringing Morgan home to our parents, sister and Morgan’s many close friends victorious is a moment that I will cherish forever.  A lot of ground needs to be covered between now and then.  Preparation of a remote area travel kit, another bike as well as my slightly older body!  I now understand the mountain that Morgan and his team have moved and have such a high level of respect for what they have achieved.  Congratulations and I will see you in Darwin to bring it home.
