Today I went over to the BMW Motorrad (www.bmw-motorrad.com) showroom in Kowloon, Hong Kong and rode out in brand new F800GS motorbike. Wow, what a feeling buying my first ‘real’ bike. A bike that I know is going to take me on the adventure of a lifetime. The guys at BMW are first class and the whole experience was awesome. I got a real sense that BMW is the right choice for the trip. I know Ewan and Charley never looked back once taking the BMW bikes on their Long Way Round journey, and nor will we! Getting the bike now will give me almost 2 years to build up my confidence and capability to legitimately and safely tackle the massive journey in 2011.
