Today we collected our new BMW Enduro helmets for the Wheel2Wheel expedition. We ordered them about a month ago and they just arrived from Germany. The decision to use this particular helmet was the result of an exhaustive research project. Using online industry forums and chatting to other adventurers, we worked through the different pro’s and con’s of the various brands and models of helmets.
The 2010 BMW Enduro helmet was selected for its lightness, superior fit, noise buffering, comfort, safety, cool look, and the testimony of countless experienced riders. We will be installing communication systems inside the helmets that enable us to listen to music, make/receive phone calls and of course talk to each other! It will be important over the next four months to wear-in the helmets, but I don’t want to get mine scratched in the process – – they look so nice!!
