We are delighted to confirm the START LINE for the Wheel2Wheel expedition, departing Hong Kong at 11:30am on Tuesday 1 March 2o11 will be directly in front of Wagyu restaurant at 60 Wyndham Street.
Wagyu’s arrival in Wyndham Street several years ago was a complete game-changer for the entire street, prompting a redevelopment of the surrounds and a recalibration of people’s habits! The Castelo Group originates from Queensland’s Gold Coast, very near to Morgan’s birthplace and the final destination for the Wheel2Wheel expedition – Brisbane.
We thought it was fitting that Wagyu, which has provided so many good times over the years by having the courage to create something different, be the start point of this epic transcontinental journey – an event rarely witnessed in a city like Hong Kong.
The Wheel2Wheel team will be at the start line from 10:00am filming and conducting interviews with the media. Supporters are welcome to come along, say good bye to the riders and wish them well. Wagyu will be serving a glass of bubbles to every person that gets along to the event. The Wheel2Wheel riders will set off at 11:30am towards the Chinese border, then eventually over 100 days later, arrive in Brisbane.
