Simon and I met with my friend Jeremy Hall-Smith today. I had been wanting to better understand how the world of television production and distribution worked for years, but have become especially interested since working on Wheel2Wheel. As I’ve been talking to more people generally about Wheel2Wheel it has become clear that our adventure is ideal for a ‘travel meets topgear meets social awareness meets reality’ television series! So given Jeremy’s professional experience in the business I thought he would be a great knowledge resource, and indeed he was. Simon has lots of previous experience with television but my only extends to being interviewed, nothing more. After our lengthy discussion with Jeremy we now have the outline of our media strategy and we are pumped about making some distribution deals in 2010.
